So, in the process of moving I am also trying to tackle this new "freelancing" for my old job. I've been asked numerous unknowns about my rates, what kind of work I'm willing to do, etc. Because I am an AIGA member I have found some great resources on putting together some forms and business agreements. A big question looming in the back of my mind was about starting up my own self-employment. I found an amazing source to answer my questions from Michelle Goodman, author of My So-Called Freelance Life and The Anti 9-to-5 Guide. Her website is stuffed full of wonderful tips (including taxes).
If you're looking into freelancing, I highly recommend Michelle's site. (I'll be visiting it daily...)
